Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Examiner, Reader, Senior Bailiff, Junior Bailiff/Process Server, Process Writer: Passed S.S.L.C. Public Examination or its equivalent.
  • Xerox Operator: Passed S.S.L.C. Public Examination with at least 6 months of practical experience in operating a Xerox machine.
  • Driver: Passed VIII standard with a valid Driving License and at least 5 years of driving experience.
  • Copyist Attender, Office Assistant: Passed VIII Standard and must be able to ride a bicycle.
  • Cleanliness Worker, Gardener, Watchman, Nightwatchman, Masalchi: Must be able to read and write Tamil.

Age Limit (as of 01/07/2024):

  • Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Destitute Widows: Maximum 37 years
  • Most Backward Classes/Denotified Communities/Backward Classes (Other than Backward Class Muslims) and Backward Class Muslims: Maximum 34 years
  • Others/Unreserved Categories: Maximum 32 years

Salary Details

  • Examiner, Reader, Senior Bailiff, Driver: Rs. 19,500 – 71,900/- (Pay Level-8)
  • Junior Bailiff/Process Server: Rs. 19,000- 69,900/- (Pay Level-7)
  • Xerox Operator, Process Writer: Rs. 16,600- 60,800/- (Pay Level-3)
  • Office Assistant, Copyist Attender, Cleanliness Worker, Gardener, Watchman, Nightwatchman, Masalchi: Rs. 15,700 – 58,100/- (Pay Level-1)

Selection Process

  1. Common Written Examination: Objective-type questions.
  2. Skill Test: For candidates shortlisted from the written exam.
  3. Viva-voce: Final stage for shortlisted candidates from the skill test.

Exam Pattern

  • Office Assistant, Copyist Attender, Cleanliness Worker, Watchman, and Other Posts:

    • Part A: General Tamil (50 questions, 50 marks)
    • Part B: General Knowledge (50 questions, 50 marks)
    • Total: 100 marks, 2 hours duration
  • Examiner, Senior Bailiff, Junior Bailiff, and Xerox Operator Posts:

    • Part A: General Tamil (50 questions, 50 marks)
    • Part B: General Studies, Mental Ability, Aptitude (120 questions, 120 marks)
    • Total: 170 marks, 3 hours duration
